[Summer 2023 works] Traffic suspended between Cergy–Le Haut and Conflans–Fin d’Oise stations from 5 to 20 August and between Nation and Val de Fontenay/Fontenay-sous-Bois stations from 9 to 18 August #2
As announced in the previous bulletin regarding works over the summer, traffic will be disrupted all day between 5 and 20 August 2023. To ensure that you have all the relevant information on hand to prepare your journey, I would like to share the alternative routes that will be set up during the period.
This year, the replacement bus service will leave from various stations, depending on your destination. This is a necessary measure to optimize travel time with direct and semi-direct buses, and to improve traffic management. Buses are color-coded to help you easily identify the route to take: Yellow, Pink and Blue for westbound buses; and Brown and Green for eastbound buses.
Between Cergy–Le Haut and Conflans–Fin d’Oise stations:
RER line A will be closed all day between Conflans–Fin d’Oise and Cergy–Le Haut stations from 5 to 20 August 2023 for track and ballast refurbishment works.
Our tips:
- To reach the following stations from Paris:
- Neuville–Université and Cergy–Saint-Christophe: Take RER line A to Conflans–Fin d’Oise station, then take the Yellow bus (semi-direct) towards Cergy–Saint-Christophe stop.
- Cergy–Préfecture: Take RER line A to Achères–Ville station, then take the Pink bus (direct) towards Cergy–Préfecture stop.
- Cergy–Le Haut: Take RER line A to Poissy station, then take the Blue bus (direct) towards Cergy–Le Haut stop.
Please be informed that frequency will be increased on the usual bus routes 45 and 49.
Over the same period, regional train line L will be suspended between Cergy–Le Haut and Maisons-Laffitte station for works. Find more information on the line L blog.
Between Nation and Val de Fontenay/Fontenay-sous-Bois stations:
RER line A will be closed all day between Nation and Val de Fontenay/Fontenay-sous-Bois stations from 9 to 18 August 2023 for track equipment renewal.

As you might have noticed, the impact of these major works will be significant. However, they are necessary in order to keep infrastructures in optimal condition. We are setting up as many alternative services as we can, with substitute bus routes, and more frequent bus and metro services. We encourage you to modify and plan your journeys, and when possible, postpone journeys on the affected lines.
Will I be affected by these closures?
To help you determine whether these works will affect your journeys, we will soon provide a simplified RER line A station-to-station itinerary simulator. You will then be given the best alternative itinerary for your journeys during the period.
By using this simulator, you will be able to better plan for your journey.
If you have any questions regarding these alternative routes, please leave your questions in the comment section.

Hi
My wife and I am travelling from Lille to Disneyland Paris on Tuesday 15/823
I am registered as disabled. I am horrified to learn just days before we travel that there is work taking place, and that we have to get a bus between Nation and Fontenoy
I am concerned about my ability to access steps & stairs with our luggage in order to get this transfer
Please advise that adequate assistance will be available
